Crow Lake
I read Crow Lake in my fifth year for an English essay assignment. I really enjoyed this book for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it is Canadian and I am drawn to Canadian stories. Secondly for the amazing descriptions of emotional trauma and healing. I have found few writers that truly capture the grief of losing a loved one, while still keeping the rest of the novel in check. Lawson is a great writer and Crow Lake is an amazing book.
